Everyone tells you when you have a baby to take it all in as it goes by so quickly. And they are not kidding. Before you know it, your baby will be hitting all of their milestones, weaning, crawling, talking, walking.

By booking in a newborn shoot, you will have images of that precious time to keep forever. You will be able to see their tiny toes, their fluffy heads, their perfect little noses. But best of all you will have photos of you all together at that time. The way you hold them and breathe them in, how small they really were in dads arms, the way you look at them completely in awe of this perfect human you have created.

I know exactly what the baby bubble feels like. The last thing I want to do is to disrupt this amazing time you have together. I capture all of the above in the comfort of your own home with my in-home newborn photography in Essex and beyond. I will stay as long as it takes to get some beautiful images, there is no rushing, no posing, no constant shushing to get baby to sleep. A typical newborn photoshoot will take 1-2 hours.

You will come away from your shoot feeling as relaxed as when you started with a collection of beautiful memories of this precious time.

FAQ

Where do your newborn shoots take place?

All of my newborn sessions take place in your home. I want to photograph your new family as you are, where you are most comfortable.

What if my house doesn't look good in photos?

Please don’t worry about your home looking good, you have just had a baby. I will choose 2-3 small areas in your home which are filled with good light, so near a window or door and we will work with those. Amazing light and emotion is much better than a perfect house, trust me.

How old should my baby be for a newborn shoot?

My style of photography is natural, therefore, less pressure to have your shoot as young as possible. I generally schedule in your newborn shoot 7-14 days after your due date. This gives you all time to settle into your new family and feel comfortable with your new addition.

When should I book in our newborn shoot?

Its better to provisionally book in your newborn shoot as soon as you know your due date. We can always change this if baby is early or late or if you want some more time before your shoot.
