A few of you have asked me to share the lessons I A few of you have asked me to share the lessons I said I had learned (some of them the hard way) this year. So here they are - 1. I’m not for everyone (and that’s a good thing!) Trying to please everyone is exhausting. When I’m myself, I attract my people. It’s a tough one and can make you question yourself. But trust in you and you’ll be great. 2. Be kind to yourself Not every day has to be productive. Rest is productive. Saying no is productive. Taking a break without guilt is something I’m still learning. Also talk to yourself as you would talk to your fav people! 3. There really is enough work to go around Other photographers aren’t competition — they’re community. Cheering each other on feels way better than comparison. I love the fact that I have so many tog friends and plan on making even more this year!! 4. Delegating doesn’t mean failing You don’t have to do everything yourself to be successful. Asking for help has been a game changer (and my sanity thanks me). 5. Progress > perfection Showing up consistently beats waiting for things to be “perfect”. Growth happens when you just start! So Christmas is almost upon us but I couldn’t sign So Christmas is almost upon us but I couldn’t sign off without sharing this epic shoot with Sarah and her new business. Sarah was really keen to get new photography done before officially launching her business after having her branding done. This makes so much sense and is often something people don’t see as very important. But when you launch a brand new business you want people to take you seriously, which they will as you have professional photos!!
